CHEERS TO ANOTHER SPECTACULAR OPEN FARM DAYS!
From olive oil tastings and pig greetings to beekeeping and gardening workshops, folks spread throughout the county to meet local farmers and learn about the hard work that goes into our groceries and goods. Open Farm Days gets better and better every year and we're so thankful to all of you who came out to TOUR, TASTE, and LEARN along the #slocofarmtrail.
DID YOU KNOW...We swung the gates wide open to hundreds of townies excited to learn what the buzz was all about in Paso Robles' Downtown City Park and to near 30 farms & makers. That’s a huge herd of folks that came together to enjoy showcased groceries, libations and products from the #slocofarmtrail.
THANKS TO THE HANDS THAT HELPED MAKE IT ALL HAPPEN
A very special thank EWE to our Co-Chair Jennifer Tallent Jospeh (@thegroveson41) for volunteering countless hours and contributing to the success of Open Farm Days. So much goes on behind the scenes of a multi-day event like this one and we couldn’t do it without the experience and tenacity of this super special event planning farmer!
Hats off to our OFD Marketplace chair, Gina Hambly (@hambly_farms) for gathering local moo-vers & makers in Paso's City Park for our Friday Night Marketplace kick-off event.
And waaaaay behind the scenes, the emails and the cameras, are these bad-ass trail hands that help us craft our stories through imagery, videos, social media, eblasts, event planning, marketing and so much more! A big huge Thank EWE to our top trail hand, Jessica Sarwine, and Brittany App (@Brittanyapp) Lacie Johns & Julia Meyers (@travelpaso), Stephanie Marden, Jenni Abascal, volunteer extraordinaires, for all you did and do to BRING IT from the trail for all to share & enjoy. And of course our trail sponsors, for which we are so very grateful for their contributions of in-kind and moo-la.For without all of these hands, their labor of love, and the support of our community, Open Farm Days would remain a vision vs the awesome reality that we can share with all of you! Moo-chas gracias to all who planned, participated, supported, sponsored and attended our 4th Annual Open Farm Days.
AND A MAJOR THANK YOU, WE WOULDN'T BE HERE WITHOUT YOU
goes to our farmers and purveyors, who jumped through hoops with planning and promotion, helped spread the word, and received the community with open arms (and gates) by hosting farm tours, workshops, demo’s, tastings and unique agricultural experiences. Guests blazed their own trail learning about our local agricultural life through observing busy bees in their hives, strolling through flower fields, sipping local wines and mocktails, grazing on locally grown groceries, tasting exquisite olive oils, hand-crafting aromatic & creative take-a-ways to remember the day by, touring the very fields their lunches were harvested from, cuddled with newborn lambs, and so much more.
