Open Farm Days 2024 will be
June 21-23, 2024

CHEERS TO ANOTHER SPECTACULAR OPEN FARM DAYS!

From jam samplings and pig greetings to beekeeping and gardening workshops, folks spread throughout the county to meet local farmers and learn about the hard work that goes into our groceries and goods. Open Farm Days gets better and better every year and we're so thankful to all of you who came out to TOUR, TASTE, and LEARN along the #slocofarmtrail!

DID YOU KNOW...
It took more than 15 farms & makers, 12 wineries & distilleries, 10 volunteers, 3 event planners, 2 chef’s and one spectacular farm venue to present the first ever Shepard to Chef dinner to over 80 guests at @RevesdeMoutons? That’s a lot of local groceries & libations, along with a huge herd, that came together to craft the beautifully successful inaugural event that introduced newcomer @BlackMarketCheeseCo and showcased groceries from the #slocofarmtrail.

THANKS TO THE HANDS THAT HELPED MAKE IT ALL HAPPEN
A very special thank EWE to our Co-Chair Jennifer Tallent Jospeh (@thegroveson41) for volunteering countless hours and contributing to the success of Open Farm Days. So much goes on behind the scenes of a multi-day event like this one and we couldn’t do it without the experience and tenacity of this super special event planning farmer!

Hats off to our OFD Marketplace co-chairs Gina Hambly (@hambly_farms) & Bobbi Matuk (@couleur_delavie) for gathering local moo-vers & makers in Paso's City Park for our Friday Night Marketplace kick-off event.

And waaaaay behind the scenes, the emails and the cameras, are these bad-ass trail hands that help us craft our stories through imagery, videos, social media, eblasts, event planning, marketing and so much more! A big huge Thank EWE to Jessica Sarwine, Christina (@the.business.bestie), Brittany (@Brittanyapp), Stephen (@Stephenheraldo), Kyle, Jolie & Kristy (@just_us_event_consulting), Julia Meyers (@travelpaso), and Stephanie & Bella Marden, volunteer extraordinaires,  for all you did and do to BRING IT from the trail for all to share & enjoy.

For without all of these hands, their labor of love, and the support of our community, Open Farm Days would remain a vision vs the awesome reality that we can share with all of you! Moo-chas gracias to all who planned, participated and attended our 3rd annual Open Farm Days.
- With gratitude, Lynette Sonne

TOUR - TASTE - LEARN

July 2023
Friday, 14th - Sunday 16th

JOIN US FOR A WEEKEND OF TOURING THE SLO COUNTY FARM TRAIL
Savoring summer on the SLO Co Farm Trail is what Open Farm Days are all about. Many of our local family farms will be swinging open their gates to welcome ticket holders to tour, taste and learn about our local agriCULTURE.

Demos, tastings and farm tours will be happening along the Open Farm Days Trail for our ticket holding guests to learn how our food is grown and products made here in SLO CAL.

This family-friendly experience is an up-close chance to learn about agriculture through demonstrations, tastings, and farm tours.

Ticket holders will visit local farms, ranches, producers and purveyors. Local farms will be swinging open their gates to showcase everything from bee keeping to olive oil production, local ranchers will introduce you to goats, alpacas, sheep, pigs, and more, while local purveyors will showcase their locally made using our locally grown.

Relax at picnic spots, shop at pop-up markets, and enjoy tastings of food and potent potables. Places for picnics will be abundant, featuring local provisions & libations for sale.

The planning has begun, so follow us along as we will have lots more to share about this fit for foodies, family friendly event featuring our local family farms.

No Farms, No Food, No Clothes – it really is that simple!

This fundraiser will specifically feed moo-la into local agricultural EDucation programs, for both little and big kiddo’s, such as The Great AGventure, as well as help grow programs at FARMstead ED and the SLO Co Farm Trail to broaden awareness of local family farming and the methods in which they produce products for our daily life.
