Open Farm Day 2021

Our cup runneth over, folks.
We didn't know what to expect from our first Open Farm Day—especially given the past year and a half. Fingers were crossed that community members would gather and travel the Trail to tour and taste. What we got was so much more; you came out in droves, excited, engaged, and interested to truly connect to the experience. The energy was amazing, the smiles were infectious, and as promised, the animals were adorable. From the bottom of our very full hearts, thank you. We raised over $6,000 to infuse back into our agricultural community via GleanSLO and The SLO Great AGventure, and all of us made life-long memories rooted in a deeper understanding of what makes this community so truly special.

ALL the thanks go to the farmers and purveyors who tried something they've never done before, jumped through hoops with planning and promotion, helped spread the word, and received the community with open arms (and gates).

JOIN US FOR A SELF-GUIDED DAY OF TOURING THE SLO COUNTY FARM TRAIL

Savoring Summer on the SLO Co Farm Trail is what Open Farm Day is all about.

Many of our local family farms will be swinging open their gates to welcome ticket holders to tour, taste and learn about our local agriCULTURE.

Demo’s, tastings and farm tours will be scheduled for our ticket holding guests
to learn how our food is grown and products made here in SLO County.
This is a family friendly agricultural experience for all ages that will spotlight and
showcase many of our local farms, ranches and purveyors along the SLO Co Farm Trail.

Tour the produce fields and coolers where your CSA boxes come from and learn how a large vegetable farm operates.
